IEC 61084-1:2017+AMD1:2024 CSV sets forth the requirements and testing procedures for cable trunking systems (CTS) and cable ducting systems (CDS) designed to house, and when necessary, provide electrical protection for separation of insulated conductors, cables, and potentially other electrical equipment within electrical and/or communication system installations. The maximum voltage for such installations is 1,000 V AC and 1,500 V DC.

The scope of this document does not encompass conduit systems, cable tray systems, cable ladder systems, power track systems, or equipment governed by other standards.

This second edition nullifies and supersedes the first edition released in 1991, along with Amendment 1 from 1993. It represents a technical revision.
