The detailed design guidelines for these systems are dictated by the IEC standards referenced in the normative section, which are not covered in this document. The objective of this guide is to provide high-level recommendations for designing on-site AC interruptible power supply systems within a nuclear facility’s electrical distribution system. It establishes the criteria that electrical engineers must adhere to when developing an AC interruptible power supply solution for nuclear applications, intended to be used in conjunction with Level 1 standard IEC 63046.
